About Us

For over 30 years Lister Teak has provided Australia with exemplary customer service and product knowledge of the visually beautiful ranges of outdoor Teak Chairs, Benches and Tables. More recently, the addition of Vincent Sheppard Loom furniture has provided Lister Teak’s customers with a wider choice of classic and contemporary leisure time furniture options.

Lister Teak’s stylish and durable ranges of premium Teak Benches, Chairs, Stools, Tables and Loungers trace their heritage to the UK’s renowned “Lister Teak” factory founded in 1883. Many of the original Teak benches still grace British parks and gardens and are inscribed with the name of the warship the Teak decks were salvaged from.

Today, many Lister Teak furniture pieces continue the tradition of Mortice & Tenon joints and quality brass fittings – ensuring unequalled strength in every piece of Teak furniture in both domestic and commercial use. Classic and new contemporary Teak bench and table designs are immensely popular for gardens, parks, golf clubs, retirement homes, cemeteries, sports clubs and hotels. Teak adjustable Loungers, Bar Stools and Tables, Dining Tables, Arm Chairs, Dining Chairs and Coffee Tables enhance the Australian outdoor and poolside lifestyle with added comfort in our hot southern sunshine. Teak furniture retains its elegant durable quality and weathers to a pleasant silver grey which adds to its appeal. The natural oil in Teak timber ensures the crafted Teak furniture will remain relatively maintenance free for decades in the outdoor elements.

Loom furniture was first produced in America in 1920 and then made in London from 1922. In days past, Loom furniture has graced the Royal Boxes at Ascot and Twickenham, plus provided elegance and durability to above decks on majestic ocean liners. Loom is light and strong – the twisted paper glued to stainless wire makes a flexible weave that is secured around cane frames and may be painted for colourful comfortable furniture. The Steel wire in every upright strand gives the woven fibre furniture its renowned strength and durability. The beautiful smooth finish of Loom furniture will not scratch or catch, and with a little care will last decades without bending or cracking.

The current contemporary Loom range includes many elegant designs reminiscent of the 1920’s and 30’s as well as fresh modern and innovative designs. The current Loom design trend is for subdued elegant colours to mix and match with the timber hues of teak furniture. Loom furniture is stylish and practical for interior use and suitably popular for private and public buildings, hotels, casinos, golf clubs, retirement homes and country clubs. Loom designs are now available in durable weatherproof resin weave over aluminium frames for stylish outdoor use in all seasons.
